History of Tarot.

The tutor will cover a history of the Tarot and the importance of the Rider-Waite Tarot as it place in the development of pictorial images for the minor suit. We will also examine other divination tools and how these can compliment and open our 'third eye' and intuition..

Intuitive interpretation of cards

On this course we will be working with the Rider-Waite Tarot and you will be gifted a set at the start of the course. Our first step in learning will be to learning the basic meanings of the Major Arcana and the four suits. in all there are 78 cards which provide different symbolic and pictorial representations. Working with the meaning of each card can provide you with fresh insights into the present concerns on many levels and provide a way of accessing out unconcious knowing. As you learn the basic meanings of each card you will then be encouraged to look deeper into the cards and find your own meanings and trust your own judgements as you read for others. A guiding principle for this course is that you learn to trust what you are hearing from the reading rather than just provide a surface generic answer.

Range of spreads to consider past, present, future aspects of query.

On this course you will learn a range of ways for reading the cards, including how to use cards in pairs and the more familiar spreads such as the celtic cross spread, simple 3 card spread and chalice spread. You will also learn how to intuitively develop your own spreads for different situations and readings.

How to create a space for divination.

An essential component for this course will be how to create a sacred space conducive to divination. You will learn how to clear the space through the use of smudging both the environment and yourself and how to access guides to support your work.

How to ground self with meditation.

It is important when undertaking a reading or form of divination to ground yourself and open yourself up to the energies around you and between you and the client. As part of this course we will develop powerful mediations to ground yourself and open up your third eye. You will be taught how to ground yourself to mother earth and your celestial star to ground yourself for reading and draw on shamanic journeying to seek guidance and support in your work.

Holding your client through a reading

It is important to hold and empower a client through a reading and we will explore how to read ethically and how to provide space for another to share and be heard. We will also explore how to really listen and respond to another person and hold that space.
