Introduction to Rune Reading - Course Details
The origin of the runes.
The tutor will cover the history of the runes, briefly go over some of the Norse and Germanic legends associated with them, where they came from and how they relate to our modern life.
How they were used and their meanings.
The class will learn the individual meaning of each rune, its name, its divination meaning, its healing purpose and the phonetic sound connected to it.
Runic chants [Galdr] to open and close energies between reader and client
The runes were chanted as well as cast, they were also used as a talisman to protect the wearer. We will learn the opening and closing Galdr for readings which help open the energy channels so the reader can intuitively read the stones and give guidance accordingly.
How to cast the stones
Jeremy will show the class how a nine rune cast is carried out. He will point out the correct placing of the stones after they have been thrown and how to sort them into a readable order. The students will be paired off after this process, getting the feel of working with the runes themselves.
How to interpret the different combinations of stones
Interpretation of the stones' At this point the group will discuss the different combination of stones and the alternative picture they can create. The tutor will draw attention to certain pairs that relate to given situations, not only is the combination important but also the inverted position or blocked position of each symbol.
Which symbols you can work with to counteract difficult circumstances in all aspects of your life.
It is important to know not only how to do a reading but how to help the client, the runes are not just to give guidance but to heal where appropriate. We will briefly cover the most important symbols and their healing properties.
