The Way Of The Lover - Course Details
Love is as essential to us as air; a force that drives us all. It determines who we are, who we become, what we achieve and, through this, how the world will evolve. It may even determine how long we live. Policy advisors to government now claim that the single strongest predictor of whether an individual will be alive in 10 years time is his answer to the question: “Does somebody love you?”
Studies like these show us the importance of love. And yet, so many questions remain unanswered. How many of us can say what love really is, or how to find it, nurture it, and learn from it so it can feed and enrich our souls? How do we make our relationships work so that they – and we - are healthy, happy, and whole?
Through the medicine wheel we will explore our true desires, to discover who (or what) we are looking for when we say we want ‘love’. We will also examine our purpose and power, to understand where and how we might find our Beloveds, and our vision, to explore the difficulties that can sometimes arise in love – as well as how they might be resolved through renewed understanding. And we look for guidance from our spirits, our spiritual selves, and the enduring wisdom of the Sufi mystics and poets, to see how we can better connect with others from a place of intimacy and integrity.
At the end of this weekend, we will all know a little more about the majesty and mystery of love.
When love and skill work together, expect a masterpiece
